In order to use the Report A Crime system, you must: (1) be 18 years of age or older; (2) attest that the crime being reported occurred in the city of Mansfield; (3) NOT ABLE TO IDENTIFY A SUSPECT and (4) not be reporting lost property (e.g., a cell phone). PLEASE NOTE THAT SUBMITTING A FALSE REPORT IS A CRIME, " It shall be unlawful for any person (i) to knowingly give a false report as to a commission of any crime to any law-enforcment official with intent to mislead, or (ii) without just cause and with intent to interfere with the operations of any law-enforcement official, to call or summon any law-enforcement official by telephone or other menas, including engagement or activation of automatic emergency alarm."
